Get Your Meshtastic Node On The Global Map
As many of us start adding Meshtastic nodes in our communities, we want to make it easy for our friends and fans to connect with us. Thank goodness for Liam Cottle and his 3rd party open-source website that works just like GMRS maps or All Star for HAM operators. The cool thing about the Meshtastic nodes website is you can get really cool information as well as messaging:
• Long/Lat
• Altitude
• Battery info
• Air & Temp & More
Once you are listed on the map people can see:
• The map shows nodes that have sent a valid position to MQTT.
• Position packets must be unencrypted, or encrypted with the default key.
• Use the search bar to find nodes by ID or name.
• Hover over nodes (on desktop) to see basic details.
• Click a node to see info such as telemetry graphs and traceroutes.
• Use the top right layers panel to show neighbours and waypoints.
• Use the settings button to configure the map to your liking.
To learn more or to get your node or nodes listed just click on the website link & Click on MY MQTT Server – to get more info and connect your node.
Have fun with this one its pretty cool… Depending on your area you could get good traffic. You can scan QR Code if you’re in our Area in Australia and join our SWLQSL Chat Group
