What is EMCG: Emergency Meshtastic Community Group

EMCG is a group of people and businesses in a community that are united for grid down emergencies. We are connected via a LORA Meshtastic network that does not rely on internet or cellular networks. EMCG will be able to communicate in cases of blackouts and loss of mobile phone service.

This will be vital for the community as the Police & Rescue services & HAM operators will be jammed on their radios & priority transmissions will be in effect.
The EMCG will be able to put information out instantly to the entire community of people connected to the service and easily check on members as well. Information can be instantly sent to the group & group members will also have the ability to communicate directly with other members/close family or relatives on the service.

Some members may be HAM or CB operators and able to assist Law enforcement or emergency services, these members will also be able to keep us instantly updated with needed information. We may have some Fire & emergency services as members as well.
