CW The Original Digital Mode

We are totally interested in learning CW but we noticed that the HAM community makes it exclusive to them, which is cool but we can learn and test today in many ways. There are also some great off Grid Apps that decode and translate in real time CW.
This means if there were 2 of us on CB or GMRS or a basic walkie talkie with line of site we could test and practice with CW and it will not be illegal. So below are some apps you should look at and try like we did.
NOTE: Most of the apps we recommend are android they seem to work seamless with off grid comms without much work involved in setup.

Morse Player Pro – We actually bought this one there is a FREE version .. What we like about this one is it translates and you can send messages as well just type them in and send it turns them into code. You can also save responses so that you don’t have to punch basic replies in every time. We used this on a platform and the person on the other end thought we knew CW – we eventually told them what we were using *Great Tool – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ddsoftware.cw.morseplayerpro
Morse Code Reader – We keep this on all of our devices it is really good and FREE. Jecek Fedorynski did a great job with this one works anywhere offline of on… https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jfedor.morsecode

The Original Digital Mode LOL:
We call it a digital mode as it consists of an essentially binary code of on and off tones. Dits, or dots, are one unit, while dahs, or dashes, are three units in duration. Spaces between letters are three units and the spaces between words are seven units. If only that last one was followed more closely on the air, CW would be a bit easier for beginners to decipher.
